Our little shop has client base of all ages, both new and regular, popping in not only to peek at the goodies of the day, but for a chat too! We stock all your highstreet favourites – Zara, Topshop, H&M, along with our higher end labels like All Saints, Moschino & Nicole Farhi. One-off pieces and vintage finds also often make their way onto our rails and we handpick fresh stock every single day!

With years of history behind it, the Attic has become the No.1 place for a fashion find. But before clothes, the building and shop front on Adam & Eve Street, Market Harborough were the first premessis and former residence of travel agent and entrepreneur Thomas Cook. Working as a cabinet maker from within 14 Adam & Eve Street from 1832, Thomas Cook went on to arrange day trips to rallies and religious events for the temperance societies and Sunday school children before moving on to become one of the first travel agents, arranging large group holidays to London, Scotland then Belguim, Germany & France. We are honored to have our lovely little shop in a building (and town) with such great history! You can see our heritage blue plaque just above our shop sign!
In the last 40 years there has always been a dress agency our end of Adam & Eve Street – For many years No. 14 was known as the Stock Exchange, a dress agency with exactly the same terms and process as The Attic, but with brass fittings and maroon velvet on every surface! Both Flick and Kim remember shopping here with such fond memories (even if it was a while ago!) Then around 18 years ago the shop relaunched as The Attic!
Kim and Flick took over the Attic in 2016. After so many years it was in need of some attention, and we couldn’t let such a Market Harborough favourite be lost – so with a lick of paint and some much needed love we revamped the shop and brought it back to life! The Attic is now not only a great place to shop, but should be around for many more years to come!
